41x14x22 cm, 2010, bronze, serpentine A work from the "KALI - YUGA" project. The sculpture symbolizes one of the deities of the Hindu pantheon. Ganesha loses weight as the Universe dies; the empty offering bowl, everything freezes and disappears, forming the Void. The sculpture seems to be suspended, dissolving into space... but the Void as the Absolute cannot be permanent, and in his right hand, where the sign of the Lotus and hope for rebirth rests on the palm, he holds his broken tusk, a symbol of faith, to write a New Universe with it.
